It results into dimensional images of baby surface or internal organ. This is similar to the method used in CT scan. With 3D scan, you are able to see the shape of baby face.
The scan can come in any color, but in most cases, it is given as golden hue as it is regarded as the most pleasing. Normally, 3D scan is done between week 24 to week 34. Prior to that, the baby face is not fully form, and do not have the baby look yet. After week 34, the baby size is too big, and it might be facing inward (spine).
